Start with the exact part.
Check the label, complete part number, left or right side, connector and included pieces. Compare the draft title and item specifics with the item in front of you.
If sources disagree, resolve the difference before using the suggestion. Avoid filling a gap with a confident guess.
Treat fitment as a separate check.
The donor tells you where a part came from. It does not prove every vehicle the part will fit. Review compatibility candidates for the exact part number and relevant vehicle details.
Check the compatibility information that will be sent to eBay. A mention in description text is not the same as structured compatibility. ListParts can surface warnings and candidates; your review still matters.
Read the condition like a buyer.
Do the notes describe the actual wear, missing pieces and test status? Do the photos support them? Replace generic wording with the facts you know.
A useful note“Light scuffs on the cover. Glass intact. Power adjustment not tested.”
Example wording only — use what is true for your item.Finish the selling details.
Confirm the price, quantity, SKU, item location and shipping terms. Check package size and weight against the item you will ship. Review the return policy and the final description.
If you use market comparisons, compare like-for-like parts, condition and included items. An active asking price is not a sold price.
One last look.
